heather parrie (they/she) is a chicago-based photographer, community organizer, and event-maker. raised in kansas city, missouri, HP learned to love photography while exploring the abandoned buildings, railroad, and graffiti in the west bottoms with friends. inspired by the city, their work is photojournalistic: capturing local events, concerts, weddings, families, and gatherings as they happen. their work has been featured at the nelson atkins museum of art.
